Punjab Kings (PBKS) vs Rajasthan Royals (RR)

Karthik Tyagi did an unexpected job as Rajasthan Royals beat Punjab Kings by 2 runs from the jaws of defeat. Nicholas Pooran (32) and Aiden Markram (26 *) failed to make 10 off 15 balls before Tyagi took two wickets in the 20th over and gave up just one run. Earlier, Punjab Kings captain KL Rahul (49) and opening partner Mayank Agarwal (67) reached the chase in the best possible way with a superb century for the first wicket. However, both of them were quickly fired. Shortly before, Agarwal had raised his fifties. The first innings of the night belonged to Arshadeep Singh, who set his first five-wicket record to push the Rajasthan Royals back and restrict them to 185/10 in their 20 overs. Mohammad Shami also took 3 wickets and shone with the ball. Earlier, Evin Lewis (36) and the successful Jaiswal (49) gave the Rajasthan Royals an active start. The team crossed 50 in just 5 overs. Once they were eliminated, Liam Livingstone (25) and Mahipal Lomrer (43) took over the boundary scoring duties. But RR continues to lose wickets regularly and a small fall at the end means they can’t cross 200.
